With the economic crisis hitting all of Spain badly, people are pretty reluctant to spend these days. Even though Mallorca may not have been hit as badly as other regions of Spain, the crisis has finally reached the island too. |

Looking back to the year 2004, the price for cheese used to be rather cheap then, compared to what you will have to pay nowadays. Back then one could buy a choice of different kinds of fresh cheese in the supermarket without being set back a lot. Nowadays, when you go to a supermarket you will find it difficult to encounter a type of cheese with a price below 10 Euros per kilo.
