After a reasonably hot days in the previous month, Mallorca is experiencing extremely hot days in the end of July 2009. Yesterday, temperatures rose to well above 40 degrees in many areas of the island...

 

The high temperatures on Friday were accompanied by windless evenings which hardly bring any relief at night. Numerous people had to be treated in hospitality.

While there should be some windy spells today, next week will bring more hot weather with no clouds and a zero chance of rain.

 

You are well advised not to make physical efforts from around 11 a.m. to late afternoon and to make sure you drink sufficient quantities of water.
